Our Mission
As a Christian Church (Disciples
of Christ) with a rich pioneer heritage, Red Top Christian Church lives and shares Christ’s ministry in the present,
while planning and growing for the future. We are a congregation who affirms that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living
God, our Lord and personal Savior. We strive to be faithful in our daily witness as we meet those who seek Jesus Christ. We
invite all to worship with us. All who have accepted and are seeking Christ are welcome to partake of our weekly service of
the Lord's supper. We practice believer's Baptism by immersion, emphasizing an individual making his or her own choice
when they believe they are ready. Through our ministries, we emphasize Christian education and fellowship. As we grow together
in faith, we reach out to serve the needs of our community and the world.
Denomination
Red Top Christian Church in Hallsville, Missouri is
affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). We are in the Northeast Area of the Mid-America Region.
What do the Disciples Believe?
As members of
the Christian Church, we confess that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, and proclaim him Lord and Savior of
the world. In Chist's name and by his grace, we accept our mission of witness and service to all people. We rejoice in
God, maker of heaven and earth, and in God's covenant of love which bind us to God and one another. Through baptism into
Christ we enter into newness of life and are made one with the whole people of God. In the communion of the Holy Spirit
we are joined together in discipleship and in obedience to Christ. At the table of the Lord we celebrate with thanksgiving
the saving acts and presence of Christ. Within the universal church we receive the gift of ministry and the light of scripture.
In the bonds of Christian faith we yield ourselves to God that we may serve the One whose kingdom has no end. Blessing, glory
